Welcome to the 4K Illustrator Gallery

This is the page of the 4K Illustrator Gallery. If you came here, you probably belong to the Fourth Kingdom web community at http://www.4thkingdom.com.

There are many skilled drawers here, just as we have our skilled poets, our skilled writers or our skilled chefs. And many of us here want someone to draw for our web pages, to illustrate our novels, or perhaps to make pictures for birthday greetings or get-well cards.

So comes the Illustrator Gallery. Anyone who wants to can submit a drawings for our monthly theme. A new theme will be announced every month starting March 2010. Therefore, 4thkingdom subjects will be able to compare at a glance the artists' styles. These will all be posted at a website for the gallery that showcases the artistic differences of each illustrator on these boards.

The rules

1. Pictures should be drawn in the medium (watercolor, markers, gouache, colored pencils, etc.) you are most comfortable drawing in, the one that comes most naturally to you, the one that represents you -- your trademark, one could say.
2. Drawings may either be color or black-and-white, depending on your typical style.
3. Drawings should be either (a) on white or off-white/cream paper or (b) made on a program like MS Paint.
4. Title each of these by the first seven letters of your name, followed by the number of the thematic month. For instance, Nautrallmyistic's drawing for the first theme month would be natural1, Bruised's drawing for the second theme month would be bruised2, etc. To avoid confusion, people with numbers at the end of their names should drop them when titling pictures. So Greg2583's submission for the third theme month should be called greg3.
5. There are no limits on drawing style (anime, stick figures, Hilary Knight look-alike drawings, Thurberesque line drawings, whatever floats your boat . . .)

Our theme this month (March) is young women. Get your drawings in to savegraduation at yahoodotcom.

Yours for this month,

Bruised
